Doodle Series #13

Hey guys!

Well, summer classes are officially over. Thank God. Now I can enjoy my 3-week summer break in peace. I did this piece a while before finals but never got the chance to post it here for you all. It didn't exactly turn out the way I wanted it to, but it worked out either way. Here's a peacock!

Enjoy!

Doodle Series #12

Hi darlings!

Well, summer classes are almost done. Next week are finals, then finally a legit summer break that I get to enjoy. Time is going by way too fast! Can't believe that it's almost August (my birthday month woo). Anyways, i've been wanting to do this piece for a while. I always see different designs with this specific animal everywhere, especially in traditional decorations. This one took me some time since I was studying constantly. Whenever I would take a break, I would add something to it. I present to you "Dumbo" the Elephant. Kidding, I didn't really name it after the disney character.

Enjoy!

Doodle Series #11

Hey hey hey!

This piece was a bit difficult to make, ESPECIALLY the hair.
Mermaid's and their perfect hair... goodness.

Everyone always asks me "How do you have so much time to make these?"
My answer to you all: Darlings, I don't have that much time to be honest. Shockingly, it doesn't take me long to make these. When I stick to something and put my mind to it, I get it done much quicker than expected. This one took me an hour max. I only took a break to walk around and stretch but that's it. Many people take breaks, I really don't because then I can finish it faster.

So yes, i'm pretty fast when it comes to these things. I don't know how so don't ask me that haha.

Enjoy!

Gaza Protest - Detroit

Hey guys!

As I mentioned in my last post that the protest for Gaza took place today. The turnout was amazing! When I saw the "attending" list hit 1.3k on Facebook, I honestly didn't expect a turnout like this. Everything was organized very well, people were punctual, and overall the security was attentive. What was this all about you ask? My dear friend Fizza Naqvi takes the role of summarizing the conflict between Israel and Palestine for you all down below.

If the only time you hear the news is when you walk past your parents watching it on TV, then you’re in for a surprise. If the only news you watch is your local American news channel, well, then, you’re in for another surprise. While you're sitting in your air conditioned homes, enjoying your relaxing summer, there is genocide on the other side of the world (shocking, I know). Thousands of innocent civilians are being slaughtered in one of the most densely populated areas in the world, Gaza.
Gaza is a strip of land which holds approximately 1.657 million civilians in an area of only 360 square kilometers (139 square miles), meaning a ratio of a whopping 4,010 people per square kilometer. Why is this area so crowded? The answer to that question is the problem we face today, Israel, the Zionist regime. Israel has been killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinians for decades now. In just only the year of 2000, 1500 Palestinian children were killed while 132 Israelis were killed, this means Israel is responsible for killing 1000% more Palestinians. On just this past Tuesday, alone, 176 Palestinians were killed by Israeli air strike and 1120 have been severely injured. Is it okay for innocent civilians to be dying consistently on a minute by minute basis? For the world to remain silent? Now, next time you hear the buzz of ABC News in the living room, I’d suggest you turn your computer, laptop, cell phone, tablet or whatever is easily available and look up some real, solid news because, what's the point of being spoon fed lies when you have access to the hard truth? Oh and, when you get updated, tell your friends, your Instagram and Twitter followers, Facebook friends, siblings, aunts, uncles, and your parents (who might just be sitting in the living room watching their daily dose of TV).

Water and Blooms

Hey guys!

Guess what? I got a new camera! Which is a Canon Rebel t3 DSLR, finally.
I've been waiting ages to get my hands on one so I can take my love for photography to a whole new level. I decided to go down to my neighborhood pond yesterday and take some snaps of the gorgeous view. I usually go down there if i'm stressed or just need some time to relax. Water does wonders to the human psychologically.

I'll be going downtown tomorrow for a protest for Gaza. If any of you Detroiter's read my blog, come out and support! It's not about a specific group of people, it's about humanity. Here is the link to the Facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1487540204825210/
Since I now have my handy dandy camera, I won't go anywhere without it. You never know what can catch your eye.

Enjoy!
