DIY Centerpieces

Hey there loves,

I know, I know. It's been a while right? Truly sorry about that but I promise I have a legit excuse. School + Exams + PSA Dinner tasks =  busy Mahnoor
Thank God spring break started yesterday! Now I can sit down and update you lovelies on some neat things.

This past Thursday my University's PSA (Pakistani Student Association) had an annual charity dinner. With all the tension, hard work, and time consumed, the event went better than we expected! We had  Wayne State's Bollywood Jhatka perform (which was amazingly done), a Fashion Show featuring most of our own WSU students, a speaker covering the Hassan Foundation (a non-profit organization we donated our proceeds to), and a henna station.

For more info on the Hassan Foundation or if you would like to donate, check out their website:

I always wanted to try and make my own centerpieces, so I took the chance and made all the centerpieces for the dinner. I enjoyed making them even more since it was affordable, fast, and easy. Since I made 10 centerpieces in total, my bill came out to be $20 for all the supplies. 10 centerpieces for 20 bucks is an amazing price compared to the pre made ones which are around $5 per centerpiece. I bought all the supplies from my local Dollar Store. Hopefully this mini tutorial can give you all some ideas on how to easily make them.

Pricing:

  • 5 1/4" Fluted Glass Ivy Bowl- $1.00
  • Green Ribbon- $1.00
  • White Ribbon- $1.00
  • 16-ct. Tealight Candles- $1.00
  • 14-oz. Glass Marbles- $1.00

Enjoy!
Till next time,
